Welcome!  You're at the home of The GREAT Ice Cream Run - a MINI event dedicated to MINI owners who just can't get enough... you guessed it... ice cream! 

The original run in 2007 was a 7 day quest from Sanford, Fl to Bar Harbor, ME. In 2009 we did it again, though shortened to just 4 days from Staunton, VA up to Bar Harbor, ME once again.

What will TGICR3 bring? Well, you'll just have to wait and see...

So where did this idea originally come from anyway?

A group of Mid-Atlantic members of NEMINI have a saying.... "It's all about the food".  Most of our gatherings revolve around some kind of food, but most often, it's ice cream that we gather to enjoy.

In 2007 a group of dedicated, crazy, or maybe just plain hungry MINI owners embarked on The GREAT Ice Cream Run from Florida to Maine, stopping at many great ice cream shops along the way.

For 2009, we're changing things up a bit.  We've shortened the route, now only going from Virginia to Maine, and selected the best of the best from the original ice cream run.  This time around, it's about quality, not quantity, unless of course you want several helpings of ice cream at each place we stop...

We hope to work with each of our chosen ice cream shops along the way, to make each stop a bit special.
